David Lewry runs regular weekly classes in watercolour painting and drawing in and around the Bedford area and occasional weekend residential courses and workshops. He has also set up and is tutoring a year long course in Botanical Illustration based on the award winning Botanical Illustration with the Eden Project. He is a tutor on board Saga Cruises and in 2009 was awarded a prestigious Silver Medal by the Royal Horticultural Society Show for his exhibit Exotic Fruit and Vegetables from Bedford Market.
